Scentsy!

I know, I know...........two posts in one day! It's a record, LOL~

I had to share some great news with you! I just signed up with an awesome company and can't be happier. I saw this company at a women's show in early October and then started to research it. I love burning candles BUT I detest soot and the ugly stains that burning candles can lead to. Not to mention the dangers of fire in a house!

So if you are a scent lover, like me, maybe take a look at my new home business. And then you'll see why I am SO excited!!

Halloween~

Wow, where has the year gone? It's hard to believe we are getting ready for Halloween on Friday night. The kids go to a school where the classes hold fall parties in the classroom and a Character Parade (can't mention Halloween oh no! LOL). So the kids have picked out what they want to wear and have their books ready to go. To participate in the parade you must have a book to go with your costume. Shelby will be going as a pink kitty cat or Sleeping Beauty. I say this because one day it is the kitty and the next is Sleeping Beauty! Grandma and Papa came over on Sunday to see our new pool and brought the kids some Halloween treats. Her favorite treat was the new Sleeping Beauty DVD.

I just finished making treat bags for the kids classes. And on Thursday I am making cupcakes for my son's football team practice. He is in middle school and treat bags are a big no-no. LOL My baby is growing up so fast! They all are. I bought the cutest little football cupcake holders with little football toothpick holders. Adorable.
Putting them into the little containers............

And the final display.....................aren't they cute!

On Saturday we stopped over at a neighbor's house who gave Shelby this..........................adorable, huge dollhouse! Isn't it neat! It's taller then she is........LOL. She's been saying that her Barbie's are 'bored' and they don't have anything to do. So I had to laugh. We met Nancy and Skip at their Solar Open House and started chatting. They are super nice people and we are blessed by their kindness.

I'm heading out to the grocery store and to the store to get some warm sweatpants for the kids. We are experiencing a little cold spurt early this year. I know it's not cold to many of you but for Florida and for a 5 year old, 41 degrees (which is what it is right now here) is a bit chilly for our blood. LOL
Have a great day!

Headin' to the Farm!

On Tuesday Shelby's class went to the petting zoo and farm for a field trip. It was a glorious day outside. The weather was perfect, the kids were so good, and in the end it was a tiring day for all!

The kids started the field trip by boarding a charter bus to the petting zoo. I remember when we used to go on field trips we'd take the ole' yellow school buses. Now they take charter buses, which is actually more comfy, plus there are bathrooms! :) Always good for the little one's.

After arriving at the farm, the guide took them around to various animals to explain what the animal was and the feeding habits of the animals.

Feeding the goats. The kids were amazed at how the goats went right up to them and ate right out of their hands.

Riding a pony!

Milking a cow! The kid's couldn't figure out how 'this milk' went into the gallon's that are in our fridge. So cute!

Oh my lands, pumpkins pumpkins everywhere! Searching for just the right pumpkin!

And here it is!

Whew, what a day! Getting ready to get back on the bus and head back to school!
The kids are out of school tomorrow and they have asked to go see High School Musical 3! So I'm hoping that there isn't a mad rush at the theater's tomorrow afternoon. But we'll be there watching Troy, Gabrielle, and Sharpay celebrate their Wildcat's graduation!
Have a great weekend!

Fall TV

I was just thinking of all the things that I love about fall. From the colors of fall (browns, oranges, etc.) to the scents of fall (pumpkins, spiced apples, etc.), it's really the BEST season of all.

Another really cool thing about fall is the beginning of Fall TV! Yep, fall TV. I'm enjoying watching some new shows on TV now. During the summer we hardly watch TV because we are usually outside playing. Some of my favorite shows this year are:
*Brothers & Sisters

*Desperate Housewives

*Lipstick Jungle

*Grey's Anatomy

*Dancing with the Stars

I also like Boston Legal and CSI Miami but have only watched Boston Legal.
What are your favorite TV shows??

Deals and more deals!

Happy Fall Y'all!

What a whirlwind weekend here! The pool is just about finished and we spent Saturday cleaning the house, filling the pool with water, putting out the fall decorations, and going to Dylan's football game. They lost but played so much better. It was a beautiful fall day and the crisp air was awesome!

On Sunday it rained most of the day so we decided to head out to Lowe's and Sam's Club. Along the way we realized that there was time to go to the Disney Liquidation Sale. It's a sale that Disney holds with 'their town' of Celebration. Proceeds go to the schools in the town. I've never been before and wasn't sure what to expect. I figured it would be a lot of damaged merchandise or very old merchandise. I was shocked to see a lot of great items. Yes, they had some older items (2007 photo albums and frames), but they had a ton of clothing and figurines, etc. The event was held in the school gym and had aisles and aisles of great items. I had to laugh at Craig because we had two baskets up at the register. The cashier rang everything in and Craig's eyes were getting bigger and bigger. The total on the register was $489.34! He looked at me and said what! I said just wait because they haven't taken off the discount. After she did that the grand total was $123.49~ Woo Hoo

What did we get? An adias shirt for my son, a Disney golf shirt for me, two Tommy Bahama shirts for Craig, a Lily Pulitizer precious pink jacket for my daughter, 3 huge beach towels, a High School Musical baseball, 18 Mickey Mouse hair accessories (little clippies), a Tommy Bahama shirt for me, a coin set for Craig (he's getting into coin collecting), and a regular Disney Cruise t-shirt for Craig. I was pretty impressed because if you know Tommy Bahama and Lily Pulitizer you'll know how expensive they are..........but the quality is fabulous so I couldn't resist!

They also had Billabong, Hurley, Nike, etc. They didn't have a lot of toys though, which is something I would have liked. Not sure if they did earlier in the event or what, but I will definitely keep an eye out for this sale in the future!

After the Disney sale, we headed over to Sam's Club. I love Sam's. You always find the neatest items there. I needed to get snacks for Shelby's class and get some frozen items. It's fun going up and down the aisles! Near the back of the store, they had a section of items that they had less then 5 of each item and they were seasonal. So as I was looking at the items I found this:

a Cuisinart Ice Cream/Sorbet maker! I just saw this on Saturday night when we went to BJ's Wholesale for $59. They had it at Sam's Club for $25. I couldn't resist this either. I mean a Cuisinart for $25.........wow! Plus the kids love fresh homemade ice cream, so I know I'll get a lot of great use out of this item for years to come!

I'll post some pics of the pool later this week. I have them here but keep forgetting to post them.

Have a great week!
