Old El Paso Green Chili's

Super Bowl 2010~ What a night, wasn't it folks? The Saints won and with that start a bunch of celebrations in New Orleans!
Well, that weekend also happened to be my son's 12th birthday. So we celebrated in style with the help of Blog Spark! I was asked to do a little review of the product and was given this great assortment of wonderful additions to add to the festivities! Perfect timing really. When the box arrived, I opened it up and loved looking at all the football festive stuff. My son's party was decorated with these goodies and we were able to taste test the Old El Paso green chilis too. Our friend Holly made some tasty chili that afternoon so we topped the chili with grated cheese and green chilis! Yummo! It was a crowd pleaser for sure. I was thinking these would also be great for home made nachos or even Velvetta Queso. So tasty for sure!
Thank you Old El Paso and Blog Spark for the opportunity to try out the Old El Paso green chilis and the wonderful football assortment of party supplies!! Y'all made my son's party!

Chocolate Cheerios

Have y'all tried the new Chocolate Cheerios yet? Wow! When I was asked by BlogSpark to try this new cereal out, I couldn't resist! My kid's are HUGE cereal eaters and sometimes grow tired of the stockpile that we have. So when they saw this box in the pantry, you could have heard bells chiming all the way around the world. ROFL Ok, not so far, but you get my point I'm sure. :)
The kid's 'had to' taste it right away so they each had a bowl for a snack after school. I like to eat dry cereal so I snacked a little too. I have to say that we all really liked the cereal! You could taste the 'cheerio' (not sure what makes that taste but you know you are eating cheerios) but it has this wonderful blend of chocolate yumminess too. I could totally see buying this cereal for the kid's!

Thanks to General Mills and Blog Spark for this wonderful tasting opportunity!
If you are interested in winning one of these gift sets, please leave a comment for me. Let me know if you've tried this cereal before and if so, what did you think. Also be sure to include an email address. :) I will leave the comments open till 9 a.m. on Monday, February 22. I will draw a winner around noon on Monday. Good Luck!!

Thanksgiving 2009

Thanksiging 2009

We had planned to have all of our family over for Thanksgiving this year but there were some changes in plans. My dad had surgery the day before Thanksgiving to remove his gall bladder. My brother & his family didn't come over and my in-laws ended up with a flu bug and so we had a quiet dinner at home. We watched a few movies and the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade. Then we headed out to take some holiday pictures!

It was a great day spent together!!

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!

UCF Homecoming/Pi Phi Reunion

In November we had a mini reunion for my college sorority, Pi Beta Phi! It was held the same weekend as the University of Central Florida's homecoming weekend! We had a fabulous time! It's funny how you don't see each other in a few years and you connect right back up! Now with Facebook we have been able to get back in touch with each other and it's awesome! I've had a chance to go to lunch with several of my 'sisters', talk on the phone, see each other over the summer, etc.

Here are some pictures of the Family picnic day. We all met at Teresa's house in Oviedo. She has a beautiful home and was so nice to welcome us all into her home for this great day!

We've already decided that we have to do this again, and more often! I love my Pi Phi sisters and my time spent in college with my sorority!

Halloween 2009

Shelby's class at their annual Character Parade. They each pick a book and then dress like a character out of that book. Then the office staff starts with one class and they 'pick them up' and then weave in and out of all the classes picking up each class along the way. They go thru the entire school. Once all the classes have been picked up then the kid's are 'dropped off' at their classrooms and the rest of the parade continues till all classes are back in their own classrooms. It's a lot of fun! Then the afternoon is spent doing fall related things............

Shelby and Craig trick or treating!

One of the haunted houses along the way! You had to go in thru one of the blow up castles. The whole yard was full of blow ups!

We went on a hayride trick or treating this year with my friend Michelle and her family. There were two other families on the float while Rob drove the truck n trailer! They had a lot of fun!

Where has the time gone?

Gosh, I just realized that I have not posted since Craig's birthday in September. We've been so busy it's not funny!

Let's see a little glimpse into what we have been up to..............well, first, I am still looking for a teaching position. I've had some interviews but nothing has come thru. I have faith it will. I have decided to use this time to go back to college and get my master's degree. One of the positions required me to have an endorsement so this will make me more marketable once this economy thing gets settled.

I've been couponing and working towards getting a reserve/stockpile of food and supplies. It's helped a lot!

I'll keep you all posted!
